He embarked on his feature directorial journey with Interwoven, a film featuring Academy Award®-winner Mo'Nique, weaving together thirteen true life stories to explore the human condition and the universal quest for meaning and connection. Expanding his repertoire, VW directed two delightful romantic comedies: Stars Fell on Alabama and its sequel, Stars Fell Again. These films showcased his ability to infuse humor and heart into captivating love stories. Prior to his directorial achievements, VW wrote, directed, and produced the award-winning, VFX-driven short film Wallenda. This period drama delves into the early high wire performances of patriarch Karl Wallenda, shot entirely against a green screen with over 250 CG shots. During post-production, VW oversaw a crew of up to 300 CG artists to successfully produce the creation and integration of all the CG elements. VW's career in the film industry began with on-set production experience alongside renowned directors. He then delved into studio production coordination at Columbia Pictures, overseeing major hits such as Ghost Rider, Monster House, and Spiderman III. His tenure as a VFX producer at Locktix VFX Studios further enriched his expertise, contributing to various film and TV projects. With over a decade of experience spanning script development, financing, production, and post-production, VW Scheich draws inspiration from his diverse background in radio, theater, and circus arts.
